I didn’t find red trails until my wife was pregnant so my hiking was greatly reduced to 1 per year, but now that both my daughters are growing and one is now hiking I’d like to use Redtrails , and help redtrails by cataloging/reviewing all my hikes, but there are still down, what is going on with redtrails, i work with, Google earth, charts, and all sorts of topographic data, all day long at my software company and I’m wondering if they may need help? Also if you had any contact info for redtrails.

Comment on Lady Anne’s Way: day 6 – Appleby to Penrith by Nigel http://www.dooger.org/posts/hiking/trip-report/lady-annes-way/lady-annes-way-day-6-appleby-to-penrith/comment-page-1/#comment-485 Mon, 10 Sep 2012 00:11:38 +0000 http://www.dooger.org/%3Fp=563#comment-485 Daryll, apologies for the late response. The door knocker is at Brougham Hall, pretty much the last historical site you visit before you enter Penrith city. The official route ends in the centre of town at the market square.

Nigel.

I have lost my guide book and not been able to buy another. Been on order 6 months now.
I have the last day to do. I have worked out the route but can you tell me the historical stuff for the last day? What is in Penrith, Lady Anne-wise, besides the Br Castle and where does the route actually finish? What is the big door knocker in your photo?
Many Thanks,
Daryll 6/8/2012

I have lots of info about it which you may find interesting. Please email your address so I can contact you.

Did have one stunning day when we managed the Aonach Eagach, otherwise pouring rain. Great to see you out and about with the two dogs.

Lynn talked about them as we started out on the second day so it’s nice to put faces (and tails!) to the names. Love their pannier packs as well 🙂
